No one predicted the dragon apocalypse story that would forever change the world. The dragons appeared suddenly, decimating everything in their path, including New York City. Fast forward three years, Noah, his hardcore survivalist father, and a ragtag group of survivors are just barely surviving in this fractured reality. Kids scavenge not only for materials in abandoned homes but also for leftover books at the library, fueling their imaginations and hope. Meanwhile, adults devote their time to establishing a makeshift society and defending their shelter... with any means necessary. Thankfully, for the few months that the dragons are hibernating, it’s relatively safe to venture above ground.
Noah has witnessed the destruction these creatures can unleash firsthand. In his world, it’s a harsh reality of kill or be killed when it comes to dragons. But a chance encounter with a young dragon makes Noah question everything he thought he understood about these formidable beings. As rumors circulate about a group of survivors living harmoniously with dragons rather than hiding underground, Noah teams up with his fire-breathing ally to discover if true peace between humans and dragons is possible. However, the division runs deeper than the battle of scales versus skin, as following his heart might put Noah’s family at risk too. If Noah and his father can't reconcile their differences, how can he expect to unite humans and dragons?
