Fun Facts about Mari

Favorites include ELDEN RING, THE LAST OF US, the FALLOUT series, the FINAL FANTASY series, and WORLD OF WARCRAFT.  Sadly, she cannot play first-person shooters because they make her sick to her stomach.

Ice cream! Mari's favorite flavor is cookies and cream, Besides ice cream, she's a pizza enthusiast, especially when it's topped with pineapple. 

Mari has traveled all over the world to countries such as England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Columbia, and Japan. 

In addition to writing books for Disney, Mari loves visiting the Disney parks. She has traveled to Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California, Disney Paris, and Tokyo Disney. Her favorite ride is THE HAUNTED MANSION, and interestingly, she has been to Disney over 100 times! 

She works all year long on elaborate cosplay costumes to wear at conventions like Comic Con and DragonCon. She especially enjoys creating 'mash-up' costumes where she blends two fandoms together. 

While she lives in Texas now, Mari grew up in the northeast in Massachusetts. Every weekend, she would pack up the car to travel to the mountains for some snowboarding, which she loves even more than skiing. 

This is her dog, Minnie, a cocker spaniel mix who is around 15 years old. She also has a second dog named Murphy who was adopted from an animal shelter. Minnie and Murphy spend all day sleeping at Mari's feet. Their favorite food is steak!

This is Mari and her family. Her daughter is 15 years old and loves to dance and do theater. Her husband works with computers.
